This Privacy Policy describes how ByteLathe ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Stax Four mobile application (the "App") and this website (the "Site"). We built Stax Four to be a fun, privacy-respecting game. We collect as little information as possible.

Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account to play Stax Four. The information we may process includes:

• Online multiplayer data. If you play online, matchmaking and gameplay are provided through Apple's Game Center. Your use of Game Center is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not collect or store your Game Center identity on our own servers.
• Purchase information. If you purchase the optional "Stax Four Pro" unlock, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your purchase entitlement but do not receive or store your payment details.
• Contact form data. If you contact us through the Site, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can respond to you.
• Camera access (AR mode). If you use Augmented Reality mode, the App uses your device's camera to display the board in your environment. Camera imagery is processed on your device in real time and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by us.

How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the App's features, including online play and Pro features.
• To respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests.
• To protect against spam and abuse (for example, our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA).
• To comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate certain features:

• Apple Game Center and the App Store for online multiplayer and purchases.
• Google reCAPTCHA to protect the contact form from automated abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Amazon Web Services, which hosts the endpoint that receives contact form submissions.

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions only for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and keep reasonable records, after which they are deleted.

Children's Privacy

Stax Four is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can stop all collection of information by the App by uninstalling it. You may decline camera access for AR mode in your device settings (other game modes will continue to work). You may request deletion of any contact form data you have submitted by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App or Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
